Days of Dialogue
A Day of Dialogue is to gather the Christian community together across racial and denominational lines to discuss topics openly and unapologetically. This free one-day event is organized by Mission Mississippi, which has been expanding its efforts statewide.
The purpose of “Day of Dialogue” is to have open communication between community members. Citizens from the surrounding communities are invited to attend in hopes that the topics discussed on that day will broaden their outlook on racial diversity.
“What a great demonstration of how the Body of Christ can lay aside petty differences and come together in the same room with the openness to accept our organization’s goal of unity which is what we strive to achieve by building close personal bonds one relationship at a time,” states Mission Mississippi President, Neddie Winters.
Diversified discussion groups will break off into their respectable group locations within the building promptly at 8:30 a.m. Guests will discuss “sensitive topics” in hopes that each person leaves with a new found perspective and hope. The day will come to an end approximately at 12:30. Snacks will be provided during the event.
